We review consumer products – with a focus on everyday-carry gear and consumer health devices — by checking manufacturers’ marketing claims against the evidence: verified owner reviews, complaint records, product documentation, and published independent research.

We’d rather tell you a product is mediocre and keep your trust than praise everything and lose it. Our review archive includes products we scored below 3.5/5 and recommend skipping.
About the domain name
You may find old links around the web pointing to ossaward.org from universities and open-source news sites. Before we acquired this domain in 2021, it hosted the OSSAWARD Challenge – a Korean government-sponsored open-source software competition that ended years earlier. We have no affiliation with that program; those references predate our
ownership. We’re telling you this because transparency about who we are — including our domain’s history — is the standard we hold product manufacturers to.
